Music Together® Within Therapy®

Because it integrates the mind, body, and emotions, music can transform the lives of all children. With our focus on developmentally appropriate practice and our respect for different learning styles, all children are welcome and can thrive in our music classes.

While Music Together® classes are not therapeutic intervention, the inclusive family music-making experience may complement your child’s therapies, while providing an activity your whole family can enjoy together. All are welcome to try our Mixed Ages and Rhythm Kids® classes.

As our Center Director is also a Certified Music Therapist (MTA), we also offer Music Together Within Therapy.

Music Together Within Therapy®

Music Together Within Therapy features the Music Together music and materials within individual and small group music therapy programming. The music therapist will develop a music therapy program plan to address clinical goals in a variety of areas including social interaction, language and communication, fine and gross motor coordination, sensory stimulation, creative self-expression, and academic/life skills.

Andrew Ichikawa is a Certified Music Therapist (MTA). According to the Canadian Association of Music Therapists, music therapy is a discipline in which Certified Music Therapists (MTAs) use music purposefully within therapeutic relationships to support development, health and well-being.
