In Rhythm Kids® classes, children ages 5-8 explore rhythm by playing with music from around the world. Rhythm Kids™ guides children through developmentally appropriate music and movement activities, where they can begin to take charge, lead others, and be musically creative. As they drum, sing, participate in music-based games, and move to different rhythms, children naturally build musicality that helps them prepare for lifelong active involvement with music or formal music lessons.
Classes include: Weekly, 45-minute classes; songbook and music downloads(click here for more information on the current songbook); and online drumming lesson videos from program creator Tom Foote.
Children will: explore the world of rhythm through movement, instrument play, and song; develop basic rhythm skills, like keeping a variety of levels of beat, with a special focus on drumming; and learn to create, improvise, cooperate, lead others, and express themselves musically.

We encourage adults join in and participate with children. Once they feel ready, older children (usually ages 7-8) may be dropped off and attend on their own.
Tuition for all Music Together® classes includes family materials to use at home (e.g., recordings of our award-winning music, illustrated songbook, parent education resources).
